Children’s Book — Monthly Meet-Up
About this workshop
Books don't get finished alone in a drawer. Once a month, everyone working on a children's book gathers round the table, and we move every project forward.
What you'll make
Progress — the rarest thing in book-making. Bring whatever you have: a half-written story, a folder of character sketches, a finished draft, or just the idea that won't leave you alone. You'll share where you're up to, get friendly, honest feedback from me and the group, and leave with clear next steps for your book. Month by month, that adds up to the thing every meet-up is quietly aiming at: a finished book with your name on it.
Everything's supplied
All materials are provided, and refreshments are included — just bring your work-in-progress, in whatever state it's in. All levels and all stages welcome, from first scribble to final polish. It's deliberately a very small group, so every project gets real attention every time. No one reads anything aloud unless they want to.
Your tutor
I'm Damian Sémonin — working artist and educator, with over a thousand students taught at the Cornish Craft Barn. Making a book is a long road, and it's far better travelled in company. Pull up a chair.
